Topshop has a long history of welcoming emerging designers to its stores, and today it hands the stage to Talia Byre. The BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund nominee launches a limited edition, 17-piece capsule, distilling what Talia does best.

Her signature stripes emerge in varying colourways in super fine merino wool: V-neck jumpers, a scarf and a cowl-back dress. The footwear is ripe with attitude: leather wedge boots and backless brogues which have already made their debut on her Spring/Summer 2027 runway, called “TUFF”, only last month. Around them sit updated basics: an off-white leather jacket, studded denim jeans and shirt, and a relaxed grey goodie and jogger set. All are designed to mix and match.

The ethos of the collection is durability over disposability. Talia’s philosophy is that every garment deserves a story, and pieces should be worn, repaired, shared and cherished. This is perhaps a pointed message for a retailer whose name has historically been shorthand for fast fashion, so it will be interesting to see how these pieces hold up against Talia’s typical “future heirlooms.”

Topshop’s Michelle Wilson calls Byre, “one of the most exciting voices in British fashion today.” Talia Lipkin-Connor, the founder and creative director, says that she loves that her clothes become an everyday part of her customers’ wardrobes, making the partnership a “natural fit.”

The campaign was short by Maxime Bony and styled by Vincent Pons. The collection, which comes out today, is set to fly off the shelves, so don’t hold back. Shop the collection below!
