Georgian fashion designer, David Koma has captured our imaginations with his sensual cutouts, ultra body-contouring silhouettes and rhinestone embellishments, making him a favourite on the fashion week schedule. What did his star-studded show offer us this season?

We asked him 10 questions ahead of the show…

Describe your SS24 collection in 3 words…
Sensual, dramatic and vibrant

Name one person, living or dead, that you would want to wear the collection
Queen Elizabeth II

What are your pre-show rituals?
I do not have a ritual except for making sure the collection is on point

What will you be listening to pre-show?
Right now it is Headie One, Beyoncé, Sevdaliza and Peter Gregson

What is the first thing on your show-day packing list/in your bag?
Safety pins, black tailoring and a good mood

What's your favourite piece in the collection and why?
I've reimagined the timeless 1960s daisy motif, transforming it into an exquisite crystal-effect floral lace. The result is a selection of chainmail-like pieces with the ethereal essence of blooming flowers

What outfit will you be wearing on show day?
Black suit by Hedi Slimane or a grey denim look by Craig Green

What's the first thing you’ll do when the show is over?
Have a cigarette, of course!

What is it about London that continues to energize your creativity?
For me, it is the city itself that serves as a continuous source of inspiration. I’m just as in love with London as I was twenty years ago, even with the bad weather!
