Plato first said that necessity is the mother of invention, and he wasn't wrong. As we enter into our third week of working from home, the Because team have been discussing the things that keep us sane and optimistic in these uncertain days. As a platform for sharing the things you should care about, we've wondered how we do that in a light-hearted way.

We all agree that what keeps us happy, makes us cheerful and fosters our dreams is in fact the act of celebrating desirable things made by creative people – objects we could happily treasure – and sharing the manifestations of ideas that become reality.

So as we are taking care in our homes, we bring you our newest feature, Fantasy Wardrobes, shot at home and, with a little digital magic, layered with some of our favourite pieces we've found online. So with a bit of invention and a lot of necessity, we hope to show that the online world is our oyster and do Plato proud.

In previous years, I would usually spend the Easter weekend at my family home in the countryside, watching lambs frolic in the fields and feasting on an excessive amount of food and wine. But this year, I'm stuck in the big smoke, so I've used my fantasy wardrobe as a way of transporting myself – in spirit – back home. This Molly Goddard shirt dress sings Little Bo Peep chic, making it an apt outfit for walks in sheep-ridden pastures. In case of muddy terrains, that are common with countryside walks, I wouldn't dare leave my imaginary house without these Alexander McQueen boots: the Londoner's more accessible version of the wellie. Now just to add my humble hound by my side, and I'm set!

We might be stuck at home this bank holiday weekend which means that elaborate brunches and quick city getaways are reserved for our day dreams, but then why not spice those up with the perfect fantasy wardrobe to match? In my head, I am strolling through the cobbled streets of Lisbon in this Sandro mini dress and Saint Laurent canvas bag. Without a cloud in sight, I am fully soaking in the early Spring sunshine, of course being mindful of protecting myself in the chicest way with this ELIURPI straw hat.

What better colour to express Easter than white? It's innocent and joyful and perfectly suits the family-fun image I imagine when I think of Easter. This crisp cotton Marni blouse gives me billowy-field vibes and with this A-line Sandro skirt, the two silhouettes compliment each other. Also, with the weather heating up, I'm craving shorter lengths! But I'd be remiss if I didn't include a pop of colour and that's where these beautiful Marni leaf pendant earrings come in. All in all, it's an ideal fantasy outfit where I don't have to worry about dropping some of the sunday roast on these pristine whites!
