Plato first said that necessity is the mother of invention, and he wasn't wrong.

We still are staying home, staying safe. Not sure when we'll get back into an office. Still virtually trying on things, thankful for the sun.  We all agree that what keeps us happy, makes us cheerful and fosters our dreams is in fact the act of celebrating desirable things made by creative people – objects we could happily treasure – and sharing the manifestations of ideas that become reality.

Fantasy Wardrobes, shot at home and with a little digital magic, has layered on some of our favourite pieces we've found online, things we'd normally want to try on in the dressing room. So with a bit of invention and a lot of necessity, we hope to show that the online world is our oyster and do Plato proud.

What is more techy than an old school, film disposable camera? I got one at the beginning of the lockdown, to document funny moments throughout this unique period, and I'm excited to send in the film to get it developed to see what I captured. I love my iPhone camera, but how many of us are guilty of keeping rolls of thousands of images never to really look at them again? And that's the beauty with film and printed photos, a tradition of keepsake memories to refer back easily to, that will hopefully never die.

To quote Tolstoy, I've always believed that "Music is the shorthand of emotion", and during one of the most tumultuous (social, economic and cultural) periods of our lives, listening to some of my favourite songs has been delicately cathartic. To make the experience even more therapeutic, I'd love to not have the hassle of tangled headphone wires to battle with, therefore I've opted for The Tech Bar wireless earbuds to fulfil this fantasy. I can just slip these into my ears, and with them inconspicuously hidden by my hair, block out the world with a musical interlude.

It couldn't be more true right now that a picture is worth a thousand words. Although taking photos with my Yashica camera (but developing them a year later) has been gratifying, I've been wanting to capture the moment right there and then sans iPhone and I can't think of a better way than with the Fujifilm Instax polaroid camera.

If I had to pick one tech item for my flat, if working from home or for a zoom party, it would hands down be these Bang & Olufsen Play speakers. I have always lived in homes filled with music, and now more than ever I am realising how much it brings to our lives. Bonus: you can count these speakers as a sleek and stylish addition to your decor and kill two birds with one stone.
