What? Italian heritage and Korean futurism meet to create a very 2019 capsule.

These sunglasses let the room know you've arrived – without needing to say a word.

Almost celebrating its centennial from its 1925 inception by Adele Casagrande, when we think of Fendi, we think time-tested Italian heritage. Meanwhile, when we think of Korean sunglasses giant, Gentle Monster – ubiquitous across Asia with 14 stores across Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore – we think of sci-fi futurism and conceptualism.

Pru wears the Gentle Fendi No. 1  in grey and orange.

With this in mind, a collaboration from the two houses is a case in point that the age-old adage that 'opposites attract' is alive and kickin'. Melding their aesthetics and DNA, the partnership has birthed a one-of-a-kind collection of two core styles. The first, a trio of Aviator-style shades cast in metal and acetate-designed frames; the second, a svelte cat-eye style, which introduces the bold branding of the 'GENTLE FENDI' collaboration.

Balancing innovative design and exquisite craftsmanship with tapered lenses, metal rims and an acetate brow bar, the fashion-forward nature of the cat-eye in grey and orange caught our eye (excuse the pun!). A subtle indicator to the room that you have arrived and mean business, these 100% UV protected acetate-metal sunglasses are a powerful communicator. And as Caroline would say, they add a "modicum of mystery" to the mix.
