Trishna Daswaney, a young, ambitious and charitable entrepreneur, is the founder of Kohl Kreatives: a beauty brand on a self-love mission. Daswaney grew up in Hong Kong, where she was self-conscious about her appearance and used makeup as a special armour. After watching the film My Sister’s Keeper and connecting with how the character Kate, who was suffering from cancer, looked healthy when she wore a wig and makeup, Daswaney was inspired to create a brand that uses make-up as a tool for mental well being. Better yet, all their proceeds go towards teaching the transgender community and people undergoing chemotherapy, in Hong Kong and the UK, how to use make-up – from techniques to finding the perfect products.

Until 22nd October, Kohl has a pop-up store open in Boxpark, Shoreditch with a bunch of different events taking place to help support the cancer care and transgender communities.
