    Tanlines

The video for Tanlines new single, 'All Of Me' is directed by Julian Barrett of Mighty Boosh. It's split between the New York-based duo playing on a TV and a group of slightly menacing people dancing awkwardly to their song. The overriding conceit then, I guess, is that 'All Of Me' is so packed full of melodies and hooks that it'll turn you into a pop-zombie. It's hard to disagree; 'All Of Me' is a classic odd-pop anthem.

    Odd Future

Odd Future come in for a lot of stick, the gang of unruly hip-hop youths from LA have gained as much controversy as plaudits in their short career. After building a hugely loyal online following by releasing early albums for free online, the group's leader Tyler release 'Goblin' last year on XL to a huge wave of moral wrangling about its lyrical content, so the extent that it seemed no one really paid much interest in the actual music.

'Oldie' off the upcoming OF album 'Odd Future Tape Vol 2' should hopefully counteract that. It's a ten minute long, stone-cold classic, old-school laid back beats, all members jumping in on verses and, of course, the return of Earl Sweatshirt.

    Blood Orange

Having abandoned his Lightspeed Champion moniker for Blood Orange, 'Forget It' feels like breathing new life into Dev Hynes. Gone is whimsical, angsty folk, and in is whimsical, angsty electronica. It's undeniably pretty though, gently lullabying synth and guitar melodies whilst the ex-Test Icicles man croons about not being a saviour. His strength as a songwriter has always relied on brushing aside what appears to be an overly cliched sentiment and giving it a sense of naive originality and genuineness.
