When it comes to practical daywear, there’s a new tour de force in town: Foxhall, the Brit menswear brand for metropolitan boys just on the right side of dapper, has launched its inaugural store in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials. Created by Martin Franklin, the brand uses collaborations of British design to deliver modern urban solutions, with an added edge or unique detail that allows a seamless transition into an already existing wadrobe. Taking a leaf from London’s legendary Pleasure Gardens - the decadent playground of the capital based in Vauxhall from 1661 to 1859 – Foxhall embodies the quintessential London style but distilled into sleek, clean-lined separates, combined in a perfect marriage of tailored and sporty. With a sensibility for what it feels to be inside their clothes, their soft merino and robust lambswool knitwear and uber-technical jackets are definitely our chosen winners.
