    Mawi for Men

Some men shy away from jewellery, others embrace it with open arms. If you are not quite up to king of bling, Kanye West’s standards, then Mawi’s range may be more to your liking. With jewellery becoming increasingly popular among men, this collection comes at the just the right moment.

Today marks the launch of luxury jewellery designer Mawi's range of chunky, rock ‘n’ roll designs. Named 'Sir' the collection follows that of the female range, it takes traditional elements and gives them a twist.

Made from a variety of materials from onyx and hematite, spikes, animal heads and stud detailings make up this punky capsule. One of the key pieces is their ID bracelet that has been reinvented; made of heavy metal it has thick protruding spears and gem detailing. Look out for the panther ring also, which has spikes as ears and piercing blue jewelled eyes.

Sir by Mawi is available exclusively at Lane Crawford.

    Vans pulls Barbour on board

You don’t really think of skaters and country bumpkins hanging out together. It would be a very odd thing to see the likes of Prince William having a go at the half pipe, kitted out in his tweeds. Although in fashion unusual parings are encouraged; the more obscure the better.

This autumn the British heritage brand Barbour has teamed up with action sports label Vans to create a new footwear line. Expect to find Barbours signature waxing techniques and tartan linings, alongside Vans sporty designs. Designed for both men and women the range features three popular styles.

The Classic Era Wingtip, inspired by the brogue, finds a new form with a mix of leather and canvas, on a thick white sole. For those wanting a more casual shoe the Slip On army green may be preferable, with a wax cotton upper, subtle quilting detail and elasticated gussets for grip and flexibility. The third style, the Chukka Del Barco, has contrast stitching and metal eyelets, while a reverse waffle outsole is there to increase traction.

The Barbour by Vans collection, launched on the 1st October, will be available at selected Vans California accounts and selected Barbour stores worldwide.
