British brand, Nicholas Deakins, will be launching their first ever London pop-up store, in collaboration with Harris Tweed, on 13th August at 47 Lamb's Conduit Street. The Leeds-based brand, established in 1991, will be venturing to the capital from its flagship store in the smart Victoria Quarter shopping area of the West Yorkshire metropolis. The collaboration between Nicholas Deakins and Harris Tweed originally started off with the addition of high-quality tweed to the Deakins' Mod boot and has now progressed to a small capsule collection (two shoes and two shirts) for Nicholas Deakins AW12 collection - featuring modern casual clothes and shoes with luxury tweed details from the celebrated Scottish tweed company.

We're always on the hunt for new places to shop and the pop-up will be open on Lamb's Conduit for one month, allowing Londoners a chance to discover the Northern charm of Nicholas Deakins, and this special collaboration, for themselves.

There aren't many chances to add flamboyant African printed textiles to your wardrobe (without going touristy) but thank Norse Projects for a sharp, modern solution in the form of their Africa caps. The label's slogan is "created to improve life - good for all seasons" and their Africa caps (in a limited edition due to a small amount of fabric available) will certainly improve the quality of life of the wearer and, in their own way, improve the life of planet earth too. They are made from the dead stock of New York's garment district. Known for their basic and functional clothing with a workwear aesthetic, recycling ethics fits right in with the Scandinavian brand. John Smedley has been specialising in knitwear for 225 years - that's a long time. What you might not know is that British highstreet sportswear brand Umbro has been around for 88 years and in that time they've crafted clothing for many different sports, including a stint at the forefront of British athletics. The collaboration, celebrating the London Olympics, sent Umbro searching through their archives where they found a vintage Umbro running vest and track sweater worn by British athletes in 1948.

Re-imagined in 24 and 30 gauge John Smedley Sea Island cotton respectively, the vest and track sweater would actually add a smart athletic look to any summer wardrobe whether you're planning on playing any sport or simply watching it.
