    Prada Luna Rossa

The America's Cup is the oldest trophy in international sport, and although Prada hasn't been around for 161 years (the cup was founded on the Solent in 1851 under the gaze of Queen Victoria), the Italian fashion brand has sponsored the Luna Rossa team for seven seasons since 2000. This year Prada capitalise on their involvement with the contest by releasing a new men's fragrance named after the team, Luna Rossa - in stores 1st October 2012. Accordingly the bottle design is inspired by modern sailboats with a glassy hull and wind-ruffled sails echoed in the glass rills on the upper half of the bottle - although the reality of sailing in the cup is potentially a little less serene than the elegant flacon might suggest, as evidenced in the dramatic new ad.

The masculine fragrance will feature notes of lavender and bitter orange in the top, sage and spearmint in the heart, and ambrette absolute in the base. Available in 50, 100 and 150 ml Eau de Toilette, there will also be a matching range of grooming products. One of the iconic slogans of the America's Cup Challenge is "there is no second" - everybody wants first, and this was a clear inspiration for Prada: "Looking to the values of extreme sailing as a starting point for new ideas, the Luna Rossa fragrance evolved from the pursuit of excellence ... it is a scent with a reverence for the natural world and a passion for innovation."oman_prada_03.jpg

    Bosideng

It has been well reported that the Chinese appetite for Western luxury goods is currently insatiable. You only have to walk down Bond Street to see hoardes of South-East Asians weighed down with Burberry bags. Thankfully, this cultural exchange is proving not to be a one-way street. Luxury Chinese label Bosideng has launched its first European flagship store in London. The £35 million newly-built store, on the corner of South Molton Street and Oxford Street, is Bosideng's primary stand-alone store outside of China. Bosideng's arrival heralds the start of a trend that will surely only grow as Chinese luxury goods continue to gain export momentum. Traditionally experts in down jackets the brand debuts Bosideng London, a new premium menswear collection for Autumn Winter 2012 designed by creative directors Nick Holland and Ash Gangotra, and also other clever collaborations with British brands such as Hathway of Walsall and Cheaney shoes.

The company was established in the People's Republic of China in 1976 by Gao Dekang and the Bosideng flagship brand was launched in 1992. They now have over 10,000 retail outlets with a brand portfolio that includes six core brands, four of which achieve an astonishing combined down-apparel market share of 36.7 per cent. The opening of the London store marks the beginning of a major expansion programme. With more stores planned for New York and Milan, world domination will be aided by their surprising price points. With high-quality down jackets from £160 this is a brand that all can aspire to wear and will look great whichever part of the globe you find yourself.

    Nicholas Deakins x Harris Tweed

British brand, Nicholas Deakins, will be launching their first ever London pop-up store, in collaboration with Harris Tweed, on 13th August at 47 Lamb's Conduit Street. The Leeds-based brand, established in 1991, will be venturing to the capital from its flagship store in the smart Victoria Quarter shopping area of the West Yorkshire metropolis. The collaboration between Nicholas Deakins and Harris Tweed originally started off with the addition of high-quality tweed to the Deakins' Mod boot and has now progressed to a small capsule collection (two shoes and two shirts) for Nicholas Deakins AW12 collection - featuring modern casual clothes and shoes with luxury tweed details from the celebrated Scottish tweed company.

We're always on the hunt for new places to shop and the pop-up will be open on Lamb's Conduit for one month, allowing Londoners a chance to discover the Northern charm of Nicholas Deakins, and this special collaboration, for themselves.
