Menswear shows for AW12 have given us sharp tailoring, smart shoes and an air of eccentricity. With a few exceptions sticking to light sportswear the majority of designers decided that dapper charm was the way to go.
Dolce & Gabbana(Main Image) sent out a sea of models as well as a sea of choice throughout the collection that took inspiration from many eras, from 18th century Russia to the 1930s.

Ermenegildo Zegna was a college professor's dream with a host of plaid, chunky formal knits, wool ties and denim.

Jil Sander took men in black to a whole new level with a collection featuring leather suits, over-sized trenches and slicked back hair. And a couple of printed knits to lighten the mood.

Trussardi went back to the days when wheeler dealers ruled the streets with their layers, leather trenches and orange tinted sunglasses.

Burberry delivered the best of British luxury wear with a covetable collection ranging from, hunter jackets, crushed velvet suits, thick knits and the odd print here and there.
