    Today's press days seemed to be all about the shoes. We were hanging around W1 and went to check out the bright and vast collection from Kurt Geiger. With everything from bespoke Italian leather with crystalised straps to silver gladiator sandals.  Then after that we went to see the very first Jimmy Choo mens shoe store in Burlington Arcade. It felt like a classic Saville Row gentleman's parlour minimalistic and cosy. To round it all off we met model and avid shoe designer Armando Cabral who talked us through his SS12 collection and made us fall in love with every piece. The attention to detail alone is more than enough to get any shoe nut from London to Brazil stocking up on what will soon be the must have designer shoes, now stocked at Dover Street Market and selected Joseph stores.

    PARTY LIKE IT’S 1989: CHEVIGNON IS BACK IN STYLE

    Before there was haute skatewear, or Pharell Williams, or such a thing as the limited-edition trainer, a handful of iconic untouchable names ruled the UK's urban style scene in the late 1980s. One of them was the French casual brand Chevignon, founded in 1979 by Americana obsessive and prescient flea-market forager Guy Azoulay, who was still in his teens when he created his first piece from an old military jacket. (When you think about it, his taste for logos, lettering, confected patinas of pastness and old, utilitarian clothing made him thoroughly ahead of his time.) Though it's remained a force in France, the brand has all but disappeared from these shores in recent years. But the classic Chevignon 'Togs' jacket, with its removable sleeves and leather panel, is spearheading the brand's recharged return to these shores this season.

    UNDER: THE NEW MEN’S BRAND THAT WANTS TO GET NEXT TO YOU
