The Leather Project

There are a few items that no matter how many you've crammed into the wardrobe, no matter how many you've spent those hard earned notes on, you're still hunting for the perfect one. Just count the amount of Chelsea boots tried on, the hours spent spinning in jeans in front of changing room mirrors and the never ending quest for the white T-shirt. Yet, there is nothing we scour the shops more for than the leather jacket. Cropped, over sized, studded or made out of ever skin imaginable – our obsession with it hasn't waned. Blame James Dean, Brooklyn rockers or Kate Moss. So news of the latest leather launch couldn't be more welcome.
BLK DNM founder and creative director Johan Lindeberg has annouced the launch of eight limited edition leather jackets. The range of jackets come in shearling and fur, croc-embossed, black suede and matte lambskin and are all made from classic Italian leather as modelled rather nicely by Dorothea Barth Jorgensen.
“I've built BLK DNM as a creative project, rather than just another fashion brand, to explore initiatives like this one. I like that we can take one of our core products, the leather jacket, and create an exclusive edition for a high-end capsule collection,” Lindeberg says.
The jackets will be available exclusively at BLK DNM in New York and Stockholm, and at Colette in Paris. Off to the Euro Star we go.
