    Kill The Night

Phillip Lim is joining the world of black leather capes, scaling walls with web shot from the wrist, and phone box changes. The designer is launching "Kill The Night", the most fashionable of comics to illustrate his autumn/winter collection. Lim has co-written his very own comic with John Ostrander and enlisted Jan Duursema of Star Wars comic book fame to lend her drawing skills.

Clearly the designer has been thumbing through a lot of graphic novels of late - not only did pre-fall feature that punchy "KA-POW" print but autumn/winter was inspired by Sin City, V for Vendetta and neo-noir heroines too. Throughout the pages, each character wears Lim's most recent collection and the two lead characters are based on Lim's real friends. Exactly who was lucky enough to be sketched will be announced on the designer's Twitter and Facebook soon.

However, superhero speed is needed if you're going to get a copy as there are only limited numbers available. Head to 3.1philliplim.com from September 6th and sign up to nab one.

Ebru Ercon designs WORK OUT LIFE

With the London Olympics in full swing thousands of inspired spectators are itching to try their hand at ping pong, water polo, track cycling, handball and many other minor sports that have been in the spot light over the last 12 days. New active-wear brand founded by Rebecca Quade, WORK OUT LIFE, launches at just the right time to equip all those needing new, and stylish, exercise gear. Creative director Ebru Ercon, having previously consulted on Hussein Chalayan for Puma and Stella McCartney for Addidas, is more than qualified to create high performance sportswear with a strong fashion feel. The collection, modelled by Aussie babe Bambi Northwood-Blyth, covers three essential areas: WORK (sporty, floral pieces), OUT (smarter black numbers) and LIFE (casual separates). To be honest, even if you're not particularly sporty, there is so much in this collection you could style it any way you like, but the relaxed luxury sportswear vibe gives the collection it's signature. It'll be interesting to see how long the Olympic fever lasts - maybe WORK OUT LIFE is the cure.

WORK OUT LIFE launches online on 15th August.

    A.Sauvage launches Menswear for Women

    Photography by M. Adrien Sauvage

Since it launched in 2012, A. Sauvage has occupied a unique, bespoke niche in the London tailoring scene. Designer Adrien Sauvage has combined interesting artistry (through his photography and short films such as 'This is Not a Suit') and clever marketing, to create a brand that presents beautiful, classic tailoring with a fresh twist. Modern proportions and African kente fabrics from his native Ghana mark his designs out. Ever since the likes of George Lamb, Dominic Cooper and many other A-listers have been spotted looking sharp on the red carpet, lots of ladies have quietly been desiring their own bit of A.Sauvage. It comes as no surprise, and with much excitment, that Menswear for Women has been announced. Made to measure by appointment only, in the store (that opened in May on Maddox St, Mayfair), and now with a capsule collection for autumn/winter 2012, this clever business move is surely a foregone success.
