Selfridges Film Project
Last night, at the Old Selfridges Hotel, partygoers including Dominic Cooper, Jasmine Guinness, and Laura Bailey came out to celebrate the launch of the 11-day cinema installation, The Film Project and the opening of Selfridge's new Womens Designer Galleries. The Film Project is an exhibition curated by Emma Reeves showcasing short films created by womenswear designers A.F. Vandevorst, Alexander McQueen, Ann Demeulemeester, Comme des Garçons, Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens. The designers, together with renowned directors, were asked to theme their films around the idea of a captivating woman. Each film is then projected onto the ceiling in it's own tented area and the audience are invited to watch from the comfort of giant beds and bean bags. A brilliant artistic endeavour, this is a must-see.
The Film Project installation will be open for public viewing from the 15 to the 25 of March at the Old Selfridges Hotel, Orchard Street, London W1, with free admittance.
