Because Meets
Leutton Postle
London is a city that is teeming with fashion talent and full of prestigious schools turning out a steady stream of young, skilled designers. Graduate shows are closely watched to see whose collections, out of the extravagant, the hip and the down right crazy, will be brought out by Browns Focus and who'll be heralded as the next big thing. It's built its reputation as a city that welcomes and nurtures young designers. But cutting your teeth here, along with hundreds of other hopefuls, takes standing out to a whole new level.
For Leutton Postle, making an impact seems to be quite natural. Central Saint Martins graduates and friends, Sam Leutton and Jenny Postle, create wild rainbow-hued, tongue in cheek and eccentric luxury knitwear. The've been developing their unusual textures, colours and patterns for two seasons now and are catching the attention of editors and buyers as well as landing the Vauxhal Fashion Scout Merit Award.
We went to find their east London studio to find out more about these young designers.
