BIG, BOLD PRINTS
In an unexpected move, Philip Lim introduced comic neo-noir prints in vivid colours for a playful touch reminiscent of the pages of comic books. At Balenciaga, Nicholas Ghesquière's silhouettes were bolder than ever; daring, graphic and colourful with '80s style animal print.

PYJAMA PARTY
The chic pyjama party continues to reign for pre-autumn/winter. Olivier Rousteing at Balmain was inspired by a Eastern print whereas Matthew Williamson and DKNY played with bright blooms. While Giles and Stella McCartney both created quirky stamped motifs.

LASHINGS OF LEATHER
Next season's set to be fierce and classy with plenty of leather. Leather showed up throughout collections lending it's tough edge to feminine silhouettes as seen at Givenchy, Alexander Wang and YSL.

FUZZY OUTERWEAR
Love it or hate it, fur is making a massive comeback next season. Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Giambattista Vali channeled a glamorous '50s feel. While Matthew Williamson, Marni and Céline gave fur a modern twist with pattern and bright colour.

FEELING BLUE
Royal blue hues have been added to many of the pre-autumn/winter collections. Céline created a clean cut simple blue coat, loyal to her minimalist aesthetic. Stella McCartney combined a tailored skirt with a caban jacket while Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni showcased high-waisted pencil trousers. All are guaranteed to avoid the January blues.
