British Fashion Award 2011 winner, Mary Katrantzou is lending her trompe-l'oeil skills and vivid digital prints to more than just her frocks. She teamed up with Sophie Delafontaine, creative director of the French luxury leather company, Longchamp, to design a capsule collection of handbags capturing the essence of her signature motifs for spring 2012.
Longchamp's iconic Pliage bag is revamped for the season. The inspiration for the prints was "East meets West" where Vietnamese temples and beautiful flower bouquets are fused with a wink at Philippe Starck's aesthetic.

Sporting Katrantzou's designs on totes seems to be the perfect compromise in gently introducing bold prints to a plain wardrobe.
The collection will hit stores in March, but for the most impatient women, the pre-launch is sold exclusively at the renowned Parisian store Colette from January 23rd.
