Hot pinks, bold oranges, cobalt blue and flashes of gold patterns intertwine in this silk Hermès scarf.
There's a flickering scene that plays out in our minds whenever a headscarf appears as if from an old '50s film; It's a sepia toned blustery LA day. Somewhere in the Hollywood hills a convertible tears down a road where a woman, headscarf knotted, with dark sunglasses tucked beneath the silk and hair flying, races against the wind.
It's all the fault of Grace Kelly, Audrey, Bardot, Jean Shrimpton and of course Queen Elizabeth II who wrapped that little piece of silk around their heads and gave it the power to evoke glamour that hasn't wained.
Here the Hermès bright printed scarf in its bold glory is paired with the dark Dita sunglasses. Loewe's coat fits perfectly around the classic 60s poloneck from Uniqlo. The sexy woven orange skirt from Bottega Veneta hugs the hips in true old screen siren form. Gucci, a house who's no stranger to glamour lends it's gold and black heels to finish the look.
Our obsession with the '50s and '60s shows no signs of fading. This is what all our autumn days should look like.
