Back to boarding school cool with Erdem
The neat Marni fur collar, sensible hem, pulled up jolly hockey sticks style socks and glossy curls suggests the inspiration behind this look was Enid Blyton's Mallory Towers boarding school.
But this is is one school where rules are broken. Beneath the prim, luxurious Rocha jumper comes the passion of Erdem's Pollock like patterns in layered splattered paint. The dark inky colours and wild mood of the dress were based around the rages of Erdem's muse.
His muse was an artists wife, who would slash and claw at her partners canvases, destroying the art and recreating her dresses from the paint torn pieces. She sounds nice...Adding a certain arrogance to the look is the brash gold chains and glean of the Stella McCartney bag, Louis Vuitton necklace and bracelets and Tatty Devine cuff. On her feet are Miu Miu shoes in light copper coloured suede.
Erdem Moralioglu studied at the Royal College of Art. He worked for a designer in New York before setting up his own label which is known for its immaculate cutting and signature florals.
