Caroline loves this… Because this EDUN parka keeps you warm at night while remaining ethical. Durable and stylish its waterproof exterior and oversized hood make it the perfect wardrobe addition for the colder months of year. Its Khaki pallet is made up of unsymmetrical patchwork detailing ranging from a light browny beige to a deep dusty charcoal. It's drawstring detailing provide the wearer with some subtle body definition while its military inspired epaulettes add a some much needed edge. Buy bigger and wear it over a chunky knit cardigan or keep it sleek and dress it up with a LBD and a pair of opaque tights.
Launched in 2005, EDUN is the brainchild of Ali Henson and her husband U2 Singer Bono. The line was created to promote the possibility of the fashion industry working with people and producing merchandise in Africa. In 2009 Sharon Wauchob was made creative director of the company, her experience includes designing her own line and working for Koji Tatsuno and Louis Vuitton. Under her direction the label has grown from strength to strength producing a paired down, laid back aesthetic that focuses on producing very well made basics with an interesting twist. This year the company has expanded by branching out into menswear and joining forces with the non- profit organization Made, which incorporates traditional African craftsmanship into garments and jewellery.
