    ASHISH SLOGAN SEQUIN TOP

Pandora loves this… because there's nothing 'same old' about this Ashish top. Never one to do things by half, Ashish designs for women who emanate that same sentiment. With this snappy mantra standing out in upper case, bold black in a sea of white sequins, we're tired of the 'same old chic', we want this tee.

Delhi born Ashish Gupta originally graduated in fine art in India before moving to London to study fashion. With a Master's degree from Central St. Martin's under his belt Gupta was given his first order in 2001 setting him on the road to building a definitive brand. Entering the LFW schedule in 2004 Ashish Gupta's exuberant designs, inspired by a colourful clash of Eastern and Western influences, have earned him a name as a one of our generation's finest new designers. Ashish takes simple lines in sexy and sporty wares and, with an unabashed love of sequins, floral appliques and studs, immerses them expertly in a world of colour and humour.

    DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

Chloe loves this… because DVF is forever worthy of our adulation as she ticks all our boxes with this monochrome, spot-print mini dress for her resort 2010 collection. With a cute print, padded shoulders and a ruched bodycon fit, sexiness walks hand-in-hand with playfulness. According to Von Furstenberg, the point of resort is 'to evoke emotion' and this mid-season find has us overcome with that feel good buzz of a holiday countdown.

DVF has come a long way since the premier of her iconic wrap dress in 1972. The eponymous designers' most renowned creation has set her in good stead; since her re-emergence into the fashion world in 1997 she has continued to produce upbeat, colourful collections, allowing her reputation to extend well past the classic wrap dress. This dress takes Diane's traditional knee length hemline and halves it and it's not the only one in this Rio-inspired collection. In proper party-bright palettes and a myriad of prints Von Furstenberg has really embraced the micro-mini this season. Now we just need to find us a beachside bar and a cocktail… this dress will do the rest.

    VANESSA BRUNO TRENCH COAT

Pandora loves this… because khaki is old news, it's time to introduce a shock of colour to the faithful trench coat. In stunning emerald green and with subtly structured shoulders, this Vanessa Bruno coat shrugs off all military connotations and instead wraps us in perfectly tailored chic. Translating her signature clean cut and fresh vision, this Paris-based designer has buttoned up the transitional coat that's usually so tricky in these inconsistent weather months.

Traditionally designed as army apparel, the trench coat is contested territory in fashion as both Aquascutum and Burberry claim its origins. Like many that have been conceived of since the trench coat graduated from military to fashion wear, Bruno's trench bucks a few traditional features. For example: there are no shoulder straps (for we have no use for epaulettes), there is no D-ring through which the belt threads (because we have little need for hand grenades) and silk has no place on the battlefield. Still, not enough features have been lost to forfeit the inherent style that has carried this coat through the years and seasons. The trench coat was so named by those on the front line and what is more ferocious than the front line of fashion? Vanessa Bruno certainly knows that much, and she has prepared us well for battle.
