This is your chance to buy original artwork by your creative heroes – everyone from Patti Smith and Jarvis Cocker to J.W. Anderson and David Bailey. And get this – all the art is going at a fixed price of £60 each.
Around 400 pieces donated by artists, fashion designers and cultural icons, all in postcard format and signed on the back, will be available for purchase starting from today until October 9th at the new Moncler flagship store at 26 Old Bond Street, as well as on Moncler.com.
Coinciding with an exhibition, Moncler Freeze for Frieze (held at the new Moncler store), the event is being organised with the Royal College of Art as part of efforts to support the school’s brightest talents. All proceeds from the sales will go toward covering the costs for two RCA students on the two-year MA degree program in fashion and textiles.
And there’s a twist. The identities of the artists will only be revealed after purchase. “The RCA postcard project has always been a thing of wonder to me. It’s such a fabulous metaphor for the randomness of life,” says fashion journalist Tim Blanks, who is curating the exhibit.
The array of creatives involved is getting our hearts aflutter already, with such names as fashion designer Sarah Burton, musician Nick Cave, model Jamie Bochert, artist Gill Button, Alber Elbaz, Peter Lindbergh, Richard Long, and our editor-in-chief, Caroline Issa.
Scroll through the carousel above to see if you can guess which artist is behind each postcard. And if you are quick, go to moncler.com and put in your bid.
