Jo Malone is all about cream boxes tied with black ribbon containing everything that's beautifully fragrant, elegant and luxuriously British. However the company is modernising and mixing in some fashion with the appointment of Charlotte Stockdale as Style Editor for the brand.

Charlotte Stockdale is better known for her heavyweight fashion creds putting in stints as Fashion Director at i-D, contributing to Vogue and styling with the likes of Nick Knight and Mario Testino. What's she doing at the lovely but decidedly conservative fragrance house? The brand won't be giving away all their upcoming surprises at this stage but have said Charlotte will be cultivating the brand's image, contributing to campaigns and most interestingly "act as a curator of collaborations with fresh British talent." We shall be watching the cream boxes with interest.

In the mean time as the weather takes a sharp swerve towards the glacial we are indulging in the new addition to the Jo Malone skincare portfolio, the Vitamin E Moisturising Day Crème. The original Vitamin E gel has always been a beauty hero, soothing and healing skin in need. The new day cream is lighter weight and has a rich texture which absorbs easily and contains that scientifically proven anti-aging ingredient: SPF 15.
