The first was her favourite of Milan Fashion Week: Gucci. Forget a smoky eye, Gucci went for full-on panda proportions with a heavy black pigment. "It's interesting how dramatic you can be with just one colour," Susie says, "I love how dense the black is."

Fashion week's darling of the front row, Tank's Caroline Issa models Kay Montano's statement eye in red. Miu Miu SS12 drew on this red colour, with Marni favouring terracotta and Armani splitting the Bardot flick into divergent lines. Kay's vibrant red is softened by a warm lip shine, a hint of blush and fluttering lashes.
