Your Tourist Souvenir Just Got Chicer
Claridges leave you charmed with a new collab with Annoushka Jewellery
Hotel gift shops have officially, finally, caught up with the times. Once upon a time, souvenirs were cute but forgettable at the lobby boutiques of our favourite hotels. Think dishclothes, magnets and postcards. But now, thanks to collaborations like the Ritz x Frame merch, or Passalaqua's Sense of Lake curated edit of fashion and accessories, taking a slice of homegrown culture and portable memories has never felt so chic. Enter Claridge’s, the Mayfair legend that has perfected the art of indulgence (if you haven't been to their champagne bar, do!), with a new collaboration that turns the hotel’s iconic symbols into wearable treasures: Claridge’s Life in Charms, created in partnership with British jewellery designer Annoushka Ducas MBE.
Part of Annoushka’s beloved Life in Charms series, this exclusive collection features seven 18ct gold charms, each adorned with diamonds, mother of pearl, and precious gemstones. They’re playful, whimsical, totally magical — which makes the pairing with Claridge’s smart. Think of it as mini magic from one of London’s most storied hotels: the Art Deco revolving doors inspired by a jousting tent, the Rocking Zebra in its signature livery, the Bellboy Teddy Bear, and the historic Claridge’s Crest, crafted in 1898 and full of meaning. Each charm tells a story, inviting you to carry a piece of the hotel’s charm — literally — wherever you go.
“Each charm symbolises a significant moment in our history,” says Claridge’s archivist Kate Hudson. “From the teddy bear to the pearl suitcase with its luggage tag, and the champagne glass that embodies celebration at the hotel, these pieces are miniature Claridge’s moments. The crest even appears on our walls and cakes, and the Bernardaud teapot celebrates our quintessential afternoon tea.”
For Annoushka, the collaboration is personal. “Claridge’s has always been part of my life. My grandmother brought me here for tea, and years later, seeing the hotel from the tradesmen’s entrance gave me a true appreciation for its attention to detail. Creating these charms is my way of celebrating a place that is both playful and utterly refined.”
The charms can be purchased individually or as a full set, encased in a Claridge’s book box with a handmade scrapbook highlighting each design. Starting at £2,900, they've just gone on sale, and they’re perfect for anyone who wants to own a little Claridge’s magic — a miniature champagne toast or a sparkling Teddy Bear, both a memory jog of a special stay.
Because some souvenirs aren’t just keepsakes; they’re conversation starters. And Claridge’s Life in Charms? Well, it’s a little piece of London you can wear.
