    HERMÈS ALWAYS

For a wild ride in the prairie or a Midwestern road trip as if incarnated from Kerouac’s pages, Hermès’ new limited edition Indigo scarves are every blue-jean lover’s dream; just swap denim for the design house’s sumptuous silk twill, cashmere, or silk. Imitating the cool ease of that oh-so-legendary blue fabric, this season Hermès have embraced the secret art of natural indigo hand-dyeing, soaking each piece in a dye bath for a meticulously-timed length to render the scarves in uniquely complex shades of blue, and later finishing them in-house.  Available in different sizes and colours: a scarf 90 in silk twill, with a discreet calèche in the middle, a silk twill triangle; both available in raw, stone and super stone finish. A scarf 70 in cashmere and silk and adorned with the Hermès Ex-libris, the Indigo scarf has an effortless versatility that is sure to make it a highly covetable accessory, be it for Coachella or Paris Fashion Week.

    Available from mid-November. hermes.com

    Les Foulards De JuJu

Julie-Anne Dorff left her job as Chanel’s public relations manager to spend more time with her family. But after 13 years in the fashion industry, you can take the girl out of Chanel but you can’t take Chanel out of the girl. Dorff has returned to the fashion fold, this time as a designer and founder of brand new label, Les Foulards de Juju. After finding a piece of Italian linen on her travels, the new designer decided to create a range of scarves for women and children. What started as a little hobby soon evolved into a business idea. Dorff now sources fabric from the Italian factory that produced the original piece that inspired her and picks up other patterned fabrics that catch her eye. On setting up the label she explains, “I always need to have my little ‘jardin secret’. I love fashion and making scarves was the perfect creative outlet for me”.

The scarves are available on request from £30 for adults and £10 for children.
