    Sneaker Crowns

Are you wearing trainers? I will not be offended if you nod guiltily having opted for comfort for your feet. But whether its the Nike Fly Knits, or a Marant Wedge, trainers are now a legitimate form of fashion footwear. So much so its become mainstream. Walking down the street or in the gym and fashion snapping at least 5 other women with the same pair is all getting a bit 'P.E. Uniform' circa 1995 for me so how do you give your footwear a personal edge?

With Sneaker Crowns. The hottest thing out of LA from street wear king Guillermo Andrade, these rad little pins are clipped onto your shoe and come in a variety of finishes from 18k gold vermeil, rose gold and my personal favourite green gold. A fun way to add a custom feel to your footwear, embellish with 4 or 5 for a heavy-duty kick!

    Pendleton and Dr. Martens collaborate

The Dr. Martens boot has seen it all. Originally designed as workers boots, some 50 years ago, they've been worn by policeman and postmen, punk rockers emblazoned them with safety pins, spikes and slogans of anarchy, the hippies adorned it with dizzy floral motifs, even Agness Deyn has put her stamp on it. Now it is the time of classic American brand Pendleton. This autumn the duo team up to release a new collection, which sees the traditional Dr. Martens boot and their leather satchel take an American Indian twist.

The newest look for this heritage brand is that of the ‘Pagosa Springs’. Dr. Martens traditional boot and buckle up satchel are adorned with Pendleton’s tribal American woven wool print. Two colours are available: a brown and black hue, which is paired with black smooth leather and a multi-coloured version, which sits alongside cherry red leather. Inspired by the Ute Indian tribe, the pattern records how the people miraculously recovered from a deadly plague, while assembled on the banks of the San Juan River. As in traditional American prints each marking constitutes a symbol. The arrowed design represents the path of waters, while the diamond eye in the middle represents the Medicine Man’s eye, surrounded by the peaks of the San Juan Mountains.

This colourful collection launched in October and is available in Dr. Martens stores and selected retailers throughout the UK.

    Dare to wear

Feeling down post-fashion week season and amidst the grey palette predominating the October landscape? How about a splash of FLAMBOYANT – in ruby red script – surrounded by Carmen Miranda, Josephine Baker and Frida Kahlo? Designed in collaboration between Tatty Devine and Sue Kreitzman as part of a provocative new exhibition "Dare to Wear," this deliciously extravagant limited edition necklace is just one of the eye-popping delights that Kreitzman and 25 participating artists have prepared for visitors.

An art collector, curator and eccentric style icon herself, Kreitzman has taken an irreverent and daring approach towards mixing art and fashion, with a tantalizing touch of bad taste that calls back to her previous "WOW" and "Flashier&Trashier" exhibitions. Set in The Crypt of St Pacras Church, "Dare to Wear" promises to take us on an underground exploration of adornment in its many guises, be it through clothing and jewellery or talismans, dolls, amulets and all kinds of assemblages.

More than 25 artists answer intriguing wardrobe conundrums such as ‘How many kilos of weird jewellery are correct to wear on any given day?’ and ‘What will you wear on the way to the afterlife?’. See you there – if you dare.
