    Paco Rabanne

German jewellery designer, fashion editor and creative consultant Amelie Riech has teamed up with Paco Rabanne to create a limited edition 12-piece collection of jewellery for Paco Lab. She joins Rei Kawakubo and Judy Blame in the ranks of guest designers who have collaborated with the brand's creative laboratory on jewellery collections that re-imagine the iconic brand's flair for the avant garde. Inspired by the Paco Rabanne archives, the sculptural collar necklace, cuffs and rings are all handmade with glass and gold-plated metal and are at once fragile and substantial. "Like Paco, I feel like a 'material' worker or sculptor experimenting with materials and techniques," she says. "With this series, I wanted to create striking and luminous pieces, so I decided to go for glass because it is a very sensual and sexy material; it's translucent, brilliant and very delicate. I have explored new territories in shape, material and technique. My motto for this collection was 'simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' (Leonardo da Vinci), so I have aimed for minimalist design, strong, graphic shapes and a vanguard, elegant and timeless look." Available exclusively at Dover Street Market, prices start from £180.

    Creepy, in a good way

Gentlemanly brogues and loafers cruised the autumn/winter 2012 catwalks, chivalrously ushering skyscraper heels to the side. At J. W. Anderson, Derek Lam, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith and Prada, the girls had stepped into the boys' shoes. Giorgio Armani is putting a punky spin on the proceedings with his new collection of brothel creepers, which echoed the sassy fedoras and trouser suits they were worn with. The sneaker-soled creepers came with loud flourishes of leopard, fuchsia or orange brushed calf and ponyskin set into shiny patent black leather as tongues. Wear yours with one of this season's sharply tailored trouser suits or with opaque tights (nothing lower than 120 denier, please) and shift dresses for modish appeal. From £650 at armani.com

    Rock Solid

Monica Vinader, whose signature rings are often seen stacked up on the most fashionable of fingers, has created a limited edition collection of scarves inspired by slices of agate and ammonite that she has in her personal rock collection. "I never go anywhere without a scarf. Especially in England, where the seasons change every day," she told us. "I really want these scarves to be an extension of the jewellery collection, to act almost as a hero necklace in themselves. They're the perfect way to express the vibrancy of the jewellery." The scarves, which come in two sizes and in either cotton or silk, look like giant slices of the semi-precious stones that Vinader uses in her main collection - labradorite, amethyst, ruby and agate. How to wear them? Why not take your cue from the designer, who wears hers "wrapped once around the neck, with the long corners hanging free." From £80 to £165, available exclusively at the Scarf Room at Liberty, at Monica Vinader's South Molton Street store and online at monicavinader.com
