    Collared by Marni

Miu Miu has been at the fore-front of the trend for detachable collars since those cute cat-print ones from spring/summer 2010 took off amongst the street-style crowd. There's a certain knack to getting the look right; whatever you choose to wear on your top half needs to be relatively unfussy, unless you're going for a piled-on over-the-top vibe. Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni - has slowly been building the collar into the essence of the Marni look and a focus for the Marni Winter Edition 2012 collection. Having previously offered the style in fur (autumn/winter 2011), one year later the collars come in black, white and red neoprene, adorned with geometrical stones and embellishments or with girly bows. They are a great way to instantly and easily add some interest and detail to an outfit - not to mention an accessible way of buying into Marni's sweet, quirky, clashing aesthetic.

    Land Before Time

Is it a coincidence that when we live such fast paced, hyper-multi-tasking lives that we find ourselves seeking the simple pleasures of the past? Im currently indulging in the pre-historic, dinosaurs to be exact. I just cannot get enough of this Land Before Time trend! Whether it's Sophie Hulme's lace dinosaur print dresses or Giles SS10 Dino Bag, I'm Jurassicly addicted. So when I stumbled across Emma Franklin's Triceratops Rings my 'I have to have them' mode kicked in.

Whether it is some childhood Flintstones nostalgia or too much time spent in the natural history museum, Im going to say yes I have a strong connection with Dinosaurs. Particularly Emma's bold but intricately detailed pieces.

Crafted from sterling silver in London's Hatton Garden and plated in either gold or rhodium, Emma's designs carry a very distinctive British edge and seem to take on a pet's (whether dino or dog) signature trait - a loyal friend. So slip on the Triceratops Ring (£185) or layer on the necklace (£188) this NBF accessory will make sure your personal style's not extinct.

    Feverish jewels

Like a lot of hot property in fashion right now, the individual behind exciting new jewellery label Feverish is Korean. Perhaps it was creative director Il Jung Lee's upbringing not only in Korea but also Germany and England, and the exposure to multiple cultures and lifestyles, that have inspired her stylish, humourous jewellery.

Feverish's playful pieces include neon pink studded crocodile earrings, sparkly chick rings with mohawk feathers and bits and pieces of second hand jewellery and trinkets re-worked into bold, creative and sometimes spiky statement pieces - not for the faint-hearted!

Feverish has recently launched at Kabiri.
