Whatever Rochas designer Marco Zanini is sipping on, whatever inspiration he's exploring and all the blood sweat and tears invested in collection after collection, it's working. On paper orange leather mules with a mirrored heel could have been a disaster but in the hands of Zanini they're sneaking up the list of shoes we want to wear for summer.
In fact, the designer looked to the history of cinema and kitchen sink dramas for inspiration. The mules were paired with a gingham crop top and shorts as paisley pieces, long camel coats and chiffon dresses with a distinct 1950s feel came down the runway. Scarfs were worn around the head with beehives and thin cat-eye glasses. Team these shoes with cropped trousers and a shrunken sweater and imagine you're stepping out of a giant space-age Cadillac in LA.
