    Christian Louboutin for Mary Katrantzou

We first fell in love with these shoes as they strode down Mary Katrantzou's AW11 runway. These Christian Louboutin boots clashed brilliantly against the riot of floral print and colour that Katrantzou created. But rather than being lost against the overwhelming power of the prints they emerged from beneath hems with the delicate lilac pattern jarring nicely against the red of the sole. Standing alone these boots are a statement that somehow don't feel overpowering or as if they might only be good for a few outings before they date.

Keeping a best fashion foot forward Louboutin forged ahead with the autumn trend for top to toe print. There's no room for wallflowers here.

    Terry de Havilland

What's not to love about this Terry de Havilland pair festooned with silky ribbons, suede and crystals. These are for the magpie shoe lover as the cluster of intricate Swarovski crystals can be seen simmering across the dance floor. Terry de Havilland's playing up to his reputation as master of the disco worthy shoe with these heels.

It was on leave from National Service in 1959 that he created his first pair of shoes for the family business gathering fans including Bianca Jagger and Zandra Rhodes along the way. The designer is renowned for his iconic Margaux wedge, has created shoes for Paco Rabanne and Anna Sui's catwalks and turned his hands to Angelina Jolie's boots for Tomb Raider. In the midst of all his design work he is also a professor at the University of the Arts London.
