Go ahead and stare. These are the creation of Burak Uyan. Their smooth emerald green is a wash of soft colour against the more assertive woven spine of the shoe from toe to top. We love the little details making them so very interesting; the gold buckle and peep show cutaway at the ankle.
This German shoe designer of Turkish descent has grafted for the likes of Givenchy and Giambattista Valli. Inspired by architecture, sculpture it would be too easy to say that his shoes have that architectural quality to them, but that's exactly what comes through in his strong second season and promising start to his own label.
