Georgie loves this... because dancing across the skyline of hazy Munich the new MCM (Mode Creation Munich) mini tote makes us nostalgic for the heady days of the 1970s in the city when the label emerged as the choice of luxury handbag.

Capturing again the essence of that time MCM is finding new favour with those who might not have been there in the furore surrounding the label the first time around. The crafted leather in soft tan with its famous monogram is a mini slice of German glamour and hits on the shrinking bag trend as everyone seems to be trading in their extra-large totes for chic, travel sized numbers.

MCM was created in Munich in 1976 when the city was crackling with talent and creativity. The label quickly garnered favour with a host of starlets and global jet-setters keen to sport the monogrammed luggage and bags. Among its many fans it was famously carried by Diana Ross in Paris and is loved by one time face of the label, Cindy Crawford.

Georgie loves this… because whilst the British weather may be trying it's hardest to remind us that it was oh so foolish to think summer had arrived, this Newbark tote is defiantly pushing the rain into submission. The bold sunny hit of colour (ticking the colour blocking trend) brightens up the pavements of a soggy city.

Their classic taupe leather bag's been given summer staple status with the strip of bright yellow and oversized proportions perfect for cramming in those beach towels and picnics. Well, one can but dream.

Sonia loves this... because there's nothing like a magpies hoard of gold and all the glitters to get us girls excited. Against the stark simplicity of a black shift dress the Bex Rox chunky chain brings a dose of street chic balanced perfectly with the more opulent bright golds and diamonds of the Parisian designer Delphine Charlotte Parmentier's necklace.

Added to the assortment of jewels are black resin cuffs by Chanel covered in delicate butterflies and dragonflies and the beautifully simple Vionnet bracelet in muted gold. Strewn across the floor those glittering bags come in the shape of a mini bejewelled Chanel from the spring/summer 2011 collection and the not-to-be out shone Mulberry Lily bag covered in Swarovski crystals and rivets.

And as if that wasn't enough decadence for one day the Trussardi belt and Stephanie Simon Sunshine ring add another wave of glamour to this ensemble. There's something very Chanel-esq about lounging in such luxury in the hazy half light that recalls black and white images of Coco herself stacked with multiple string of pearls. Perhaps it's time to embrace the opulence and channel Chanel?
