    CHANEL AGATE OVERSIZED RING

Sonia loves this… because catching the sky in a stone is no mean feat.  This season Chanel went all ice queen on us for their ready to wear collection and quite appropriately chose Northern Lights as inspiration for their jewellery.  This oversized ring in Agate stone is like a little piece of heaven all for oneself, a blend of pale tones, fine grains of colour exploding from the centre reflects the colour spectacle of the wondrous Aurora light display in the ionosphere. Encased by a delicate silver trim, its magnitude is met in equal measure by the use of opulent materials, and makes the ring a captivating addition to any outfit.

Recently, film makers have taken a particular shine to fashion designers, none more so than the legendary Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel whose life has been the subject of two feature films: Coco before Chanel, and Coco & Igor Stravinsky, which is released this month.  Though it is her love life that is subject to speculation in both features, it is her remarkable rise from opening a single shop on Rue Cambon to running the world most well-known fashion empire that is worthy of note. Her unique personal sense of style, advocating simple couture pieces, and in particular the knitted two-piece suit for which she became synonymous has made Chanel an institution in the fashion industry. After her death it was Karl Lagerfeld who took the reigns, succeeding in maintaining the integrity of Coco's aesthetic while each season presenting innovative, modern womenswear.  This seasons collection inspired by snow and protection from the cold, Lagerfeld presented fantasy furs and silhouettes enveloped by sumptuous warmth.

    AS29 ROSE GOLD BRACELET

Sonia loves this… because what girl doesn't dream of gold, diamonds and pearl combining into one stunning accessory. This bracelet is an understated statement piece, subtle and simple enough for daily wear yet with enough sparkle to glam up an evening look. Within the fine rose gold chain sits a mother of pearl disc in pale pink which is encircled by pave set black diamonds, creating a contrast of sweet and girly with tough chic all in one beautiful pendant bracelet.

Designer Audrey Savransky created label AS29 as a cure for the undeniable lust and envy women have for diamonds. Using the phrase 'as healing as medicine, as tempting as candy' the delicate diamond jewels are playfully presented in pillboxes for those suffering from any sparkle withdrawal in need of an indulgent dosage.

Savransky designs reflect all things classically feminine; with bright eye-catching colours, heart shape pendants and art deco inspired designs. The collections are full of sparkle, glamour and shine with this Mini MOP bracelet a starring piece.

    AHILYA OMBRE SCARF

Caroline loves this… because the Ombre scarf by Ahilya is the perfect accessory for summer as its colourfull duotone gradient triggers visions of a beautiful Fata Morgana while it's compact enough for your handbag and renders the summer jacket redundant. Hand crafted in India with cashmere ethically sourced from Kashmir that's produced using ancient arts of hand combing, spinning, weaving and dyeing, the colour ways aptly translate the ethnic warmth of its historical origins to these functional and stylish accessories. Around this time of year we all evacuate the city, which makes this scarf an attribute essential in the schizophrenic climate the summer months bring. A little bit of travel luxury always sets you up for plain sailing…

This month Ahilya launched their first online boutique, each month a limited edition style is added. Exclusive to the online store and through Because magazine, July's style, the Ombre scarf was selected as the perfect summer item, with up and coming pieces offering lace, knits and print styles carefully selected to fit the seasons. Launched in 2008, Ahilya is one to watch as founder Manuela Moollan has succeeded in creating ethically sourced products that fuse ancient craft with modern cosmopolitan designs
